Backyard Wonder draws from a collection of my work that celebrates the small beauties and rhythms of everyday life. Step into the backyard on any given day and you see patterns of flowers bursting into bloom, hear the hum of insects swirling around, and feel the flutter of bird wings. This collection brings together all of those little moments, and each pattern is a reminder of the magic right there in the backyard.

The Bedford Park collection from Morris & Co. in collaboration with FreeSpirit brings together William Morris’s inner circle of creative talents, heroes of British design, and their work in radical colour. Iconic designs such as Golden Lily, Strawberry Thief, and Marigold look glorious in teal green and heady shades of blush pink. In contrast, designs new to this collection, such as The Savaric and Monkshood, reveal hidden design treasures and new heritage stories. Campanula, a pattern of great complexity, bursts with radical colour combinations while Yew & Aril provides a beautiful coordinating fabric. Combining the whimsical with the untamed this is a colour-rich Morris & Co., collection as you've never seen it before.

Emerging in Persia, centuries before the concept of Eden, the idea of a paradise garden took hold. This spread like a seed, carried by the wind along the Caspian Sea, India, the Silk Road, and beyond. The Caspian collection interprets these paradisial patterns in intriguing new ways, fit for a contemporary setting. Unfurling ferns, sprawling branches of a pomegranate tree, and stems, holding fresh succulent cantaloupes, replete with seeds all feature. You’ll see Indian ogee arches beside labyrinthine pattern plays. Then between the fronds of leaves, spot antelopes, tigers, peacocks, and herons luxuriating down beside a Persian-style oasis, cooling off from a summer’s day. These motifs are rendered in a rich palette that echoes the vibrancy of the stories they depict. Shades of Madder and deep forest greens are soothed by creams, and lighter sages. This is the Persian paradise garden, reimagined.

Dragonfly Dance was inspired by the simple joy of sunny afternoons in a garden, where dragonflies dart and dance gracefully among fields of wildflowers. I wanted to capture the playful, uplifting spirit of those moments through vibrant, cheerful designs. This collection includes nine patterns in a dazzling array of colors - red, blue, pink, lime green, yellow, turquoise, orange, and teal - reflecting the vivid beauty of nature. Each design began as a handpainted, collaged acrylic mixed media painting, brought to life with care and creativity. It brings me so much joy to share Dragonfly Dance with you, and I can't wait to see the imaginative and beautiful quilts that talented creators, like you, will bring to life with these fabrics. This collection celebrates color, movement, and happiness. I hope it inspires you as much as it inspired me.

My fourth collection for FreeSpirit Fabrics is called Eclipse. This collection was inspired by a combination of events that were happening in my life during 2024. On April 8th, The Great North American Eclipse occurred, inspiring me in many ways. I viewed the Eclipse in New York City at Madison Square Park; the park was filled with thousands of people leaving their busy workday to come together and view this natural wonder. In a city that can often make you feel anonymous, sharing this amazing experience with so many people was heartwarming and created a sense of mutual togetherness. At this time, I was also expecting my first child and was going through an eclipse of changes in both my physical body and life. I was evolving to become a mother and moving out of NYC after calling it home for fourteen years. With so many changes in my life, it was both a terrifying and exciting time. My art has always been an extension of my emotions, and the pieces I create help me work through them. The Eclipse collection captures these emotions with a sense of movement, roundness, boldness, togetherness, layers of light and dark, and intertwined, directional prints. The fourteen designs are made from my original monotypes. Monotypes are a one-of-a-kind printmaking practice created by painting directly onto a plate and running the plate through a printing press. In my monotypes for Eclipse, I utilized unique and unexpected textures of both natural and man-made objects such as vegetable wrappers, bubble wrap, netting, or discarded plastic packaging in my work. I enjoy this printmaking process because it involves a sense of spontaneity and it always includes an element of surprise. I look forward to seeing how you use the Eclipse collection in your next projects.

America's fabric is stitched together with stories of great deeds and tough times. From pioneering innovations in the arts and sciences, to monumental strides in civil rights and social justice, our nation's history is rich with moments worth celebrating. Yet, it's not solely our stories, innovations, or freedoms that define our spirit. It's the simple, down-home stuff, too. Like those Fourth of July picnics where everyone brings their best dish, the red, white, and blue £.reworks that light up the sky, and the comfort of delicious homemade cherry pie. These are just some of the little things that give us a sense of genuine American identity. As we gear up for America's 250th Birthday bash, let us celebrate not just the monumental achievements, but also these everyday traditions that remind us who we are. Here's to celebrating all that is America, with a hot-dog in one hand, a hamburger in the other, and a slice of that sweet cherry pie for dessert. Happy Birthday, America!

Love in the Wild celebrates the diversity of love in the animal kingdom. Patterns are filled with hearts, rainbows, and lots of wildlife from my popular children’s book with the same name. Cheetahs playfully chase each other through the savanna, loving lions nuzzle noses, rainbow ringtails gather on branches, and butterflies flutter through painted skies. Celebrate love in all its forms with this joyful collection.

This collection is inspired by the mysteries of nocturnal gardens and the insects and flowers that inhabit them. The color palette reflects deep, dark tones, nocturnal blues, and intense blacks, with touches of gold and red. The textures hint at the delicacy of insect wings and the intertwining of branches and flowers.

On Your Mark, my newest release with FreeSpirit Fabrics is all about making your mark – literally and figuratively. In my mind, a small detail can often make a big creative impact, and I highlight this in all 16 designs. You will find marks in the form of symbols, letters, drips, splats, lines, color swatches, and the like. While these have personal meaning for me, the beauty of an abstract mark is that each can mean different things to different people. My hope is that these designs enable you to create something that is all your own and make your mark in your own creative world. So, on your mark, get set, go!

PSymphonie Pastorale, I’m lying in my bed, large windows open on the countryside landscape. I close my eyes. I can feel the garden, the flowers with their strong scent during the night. I dream… Blue dreams, folk dreams... Rebecca in her printed summer dress, sitting at the kitchen table, a basket full of magic mushrooms and juicy plums. It’s very early morning, the birds begin to sing under the moonlight. I wake up in my happy garden.
