I opened Pennington Quilt Works in 1996 when my youngest son started school, with a small store and 300 bolts of fabric. Long ago I got a degree in home economics with a minor in math. How could that not lead to opening a quilt shop? I’ve expanded several times and moved once, and here I am 27 years later, still loving fabric and everything about running the shop! I have top-notch staff members who enable my major role as a fabric buyer and FreeSpirit Fabrics is among the top fabric companies we carry. I never tire of choosing fabric for the shop and I find it incredible that quilting fabric continues to evolve and become even more beautiful!
