My quilting journey began unexpectedly when I was asked to make a quilt for a friend's baby shower. I had gotten back into sewing, mostly garments, before stumbling into the world of quilting. With no prior knowledge of quilting, I dove headfirst into this creative journey armed with a cup of coffee, curiosity, and a hungry heart for learning. That initial quilt marked the beginning of my quilting adventure, and since then, I've discovered immense joy in both making and designing modern quilt patterns. I love working with solid fabrics in bright colours and often create my designs with big blocks.
I live in Melbourne, Australia, with my husband and our two daughters. I work full-time as a Social Worker supporting women and children in the Family Violence and Child Wellbeing sector. Quilting brings me so much joy and it feels my cup. It is even more special and fulfilling sharing this joy with the quilting community.
