I am a French Senegalese quilter who made the UK my home almost 30 years ago and I now live in a beautiful, quaint village in Buckinghamshire.
Sew Special by ZM first started in 2016 with me making colourful, modern bags, learning mostly online through the generosity of the sewing community worldwide. But then at the beginning of 2021, I made my first quilts for my family and I never looked back. Textile art became the outlet for a sense of creativity I never knew I possessed.
Now, my artistic journey is fueled by a perpetual desire to learn in a rich, inspiring and amazing world of texture, colours and shapes; whilst on my path to discovering my own unique style.
