We’re the mother-daughter team behind Glorious Color, specializing in the Kaffe Fassett Collective for FreeSpirit’s amazing fabrics. Although Glorious Color started in 1999 with Liza Lucy, we took over the online business in late 2017. Carrying on where Liza left off, we continue to sell the Collective’s confident designs in bold colors and publish Kim McLean’s charming and whimsical applique patterns. With both of us having backgrounds in art and engineering, we find our aptitudes are well-suited for the world of quilting.
As well as dreaming up new quilts, we love re-creating Kaffe Fassett’s older quilts in different fabrics by using current prints or fresh colors. Away from Glorious Color, we enjoy knitting, sewing, quilting, embroidery, and any other crafts that catch our interest. We’ve been lucky to have made quilt samples for several of Kaffe’s quilting books. We find we’re most relaxed with a creative project and an absorbing audiobook!
