I've been quilting for over 20 years, piecing quilt tops since childhood. I learned sewing and quilting on home machines but got the crazy idea while pregnant with my first to quit my job and pursue longarm quilting full time. Can you believe in 2007, pregnant, I purchased a Gammill longarm machine, without fully understanding what I was doing? Determined to learn daily, huge improvements have come with practice. My passion and creativity for quilting grows more each day.
Whether working on show-stopping quilts or adorable baby quilts, I'm addicted to quilting now. I've taught classes online and across the USA and Canada and spent years teaching at shows and guilds but now stay home and teach online while my kids are young. I've won awards including Best Machine Quilting at QuiltCon and been featured in magazines and books. I've authored a few awesome quilting books, like Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting, and designed rulers. My new favorite is playing with the Sway machine quilting rulers.
